LIVING MY PASSION.
I was born and grew up in the Niagara East housing projects in Niagara Falls. I'm an only child raised by a single mother with severe mental illness and addictions, and I never knew my father. I attended Heximer Avenue school. We lived in welfare housing and we were beyond poor. Yet despite these obstacles and challenges in my young life, I found my passion and made all of my dreams come true and more.
I sat in the movie theatre watching Daniel San raise his trophy above his head at the end of The Karate Kid. I looked at my Mom and said, "that’s what I want to do." Who knew how much that moment would influence my life...
Today, I'm the proud owner of United Family Martial Arts and raising my Godson. My greatest accomplishment has been helping change the lives of others through coaching, mentoring, and being a role model in my local community and beyond.
When I'm not running the studio, I'm busy travelling the world, winning championships for martial arts and pro-wrestling, and in 2015, I was proudly and humbly inducted into the Sports Karate Museum.
